Zion National Park
HOW WE DO IT? TRANSPORT:
We tackle the open road in a large and cozy modern van (A/C, tinted windows, good sound system) that will get you from destination to destination throughout the whole of the trip. There is space enough for everyone and their bags.
CAMPING:
This is a camping-style tour. We overnight mostly at campgrounds and national and state parks and recreation areas amidst the most beautiful of settings. Every campsite is clean and spacious with restrooms, showers, and laundry facilities onsite. Large tents and sleeping pads will be provided. Each 4-person tent is large enough for 2 passengers and their stuff. You need to bring your own sleeping bag. If you do not have one we can get you one at a low cost. You may even want to drag your sleeping bag out to sleep under the stars. FOOD: Cookouts every night! We have large coolers and dry containers to hold our fresh groceries. The group shares in the organizing and cooking of dinners. Occasional restaurant stops at passengers expense.
PARTICIPATION: Participation is a big part of our trips. From setting up to breaking camp, teamwork is essential as everyone is expected to give a hand and pitch in whether its loading and unloading the van, planning and organizing meals, etc. It is only with team spirit and everyone chipping in that we will have a successful trip.
TOUR LEADERS:
Our Tour leaders are extensively trained with hands-on experience. Each one is a capable leader and understands group dynamics to ensure the smooth operation of the tour, and adds their own unique talents and personality to the fun. Our leaders know the best places for fun and activity, viewpoints, areas of interest, and most scenic and efficient routes. They can help you discover more than you ever could find on your own. They have also been instructed in first-aid and emergency procedures, safe driving, and vehicle maintenance.

We like to call this the quintenessential - real deal mother of outdoors vacations, sleep under the stars, cookout barbeques every evening and hanging out around our cozy campfire.
Departing Las Vegas, we are off to Zion National Park where the hiking trails and ensuing scenery will leave a lasting impression. After hiking and a chance to canyoneer, we take it to Arches National Park w/ it’s unique and unforgiving landscape. Try if you can to locate all the arch formations that make it famous. Spend some time in Moab, the mountain biking mecca of the west, and hit the legendary Slickrock trails. Or substitute w/ an off-road jeep or hummer tour. You’ll remember the next day for a long time because Monument Valley will surprise you by its vast scope as you tour by jeep and learn about this amazing sacred Native American land. Cool down afterwards w/ a dip in refreshing and super-blue Lake Powell. Attempt to explore the hundreds of side canyons by kayak or jet ski, and revitalize with a leisurely swim. The tour caps off at the incomparable Grand Canyon. Take in the majestic sunrise and sunset. Hike the trails or simply enjoy the breathtaking views. |
